The car is shaped so that air hitting from the side is quickly forced to bend over the roof and along the sculpted flanks, while the shallow body height keeps that airflow close to the ground, where it can be turned into extra grip rather than body roll.
The key advantage is geometric. With a very low roofline, the center of pressure sits close to the center of gravity, so wind loads have little leverage to twist the chassis and start a yaw motion. The counterintuitive twist is that more area can mean more calm. Wide fenders and deep sills look like sails, yet they work as fences that manage vortices along the underbody and keep pressure under the floor consistently lower than the air above. That steady underfloor downforce, combined with a long wheelbase and stiff suspension, damps the tendency to wander in a gust, allowing the car to slice through turbulent coastal air with an almost rail-like, ground-hugging composure.
